At S.O.A.P, we believe art is survival, creative mischief is sacred, and every team member is a creative force.
Whether you're designing a newsletter, pouring a drink, or lifting up a new artist—you’re part of the story.

We value people for who they are, not just what they do. We honor fluidity, complexity, and lived experience. Identity isn't just a demographic—it’s a lens, a rhythm, a gift.

We are a small, collaborative team that moves through chaos with care. We center relational work over transactional habits, and we're committed to anti-oppressive practices that are felt—not just framed.

If you’re curious, community-rooted, and ready to create with love and ferocity—join the suds.

  • At Seattle Open Arts Place (S.O.A.P.), we believe art is survival, and mischief is sacred. We are looking for a Patron Services Director to help us care for the heartbeat of our space—our audiences, our artists, and our community.

The Patron Services Director oversees all things Front of House/Facilities: welcoming patrons, running bar service, managing ticketing systems, keeping our shared spaces in good condition, and ensuring accessibility and compliance. This role is about more than logistics—it’s about creating an environment where everyone who walks through our doors feels at home.

    What you’ll do:

    • Lead Front of House operations (ticketing, bar, patron care)

    • Maintain and organize shared spaces (lobby, dressing room, bathrooms, etc.)

    • Support volunteers and coordinate shifts with fellow staff.

    • Track supplies, inventory, permits, and facilities upkeep

    • Collaborate with staff during productions, rentals, and festivals

    • Be an ambassador for S.O.A.P.’s mission of creativity, community, and radical joy

    What we’re looking for:

    • Someone who is organized, collaborative, and hands-on

    • A team player who can also take initiative and make sure things get done

    • Comfort with both hospitality and light facilities work (yes, this means bar shifts and rolling up your sleeves to keep the space running smoothly)

    • A commitment to equity, access, and inclusion

    Details:

    • Part-time, on-site position with some flexibility for remote tasks

    • Pay: $20.76/hour

    • Hours estimated between 5 and 10 per week.
